Airbus Offers Australia Tiger Gunship Platform With Assurance of Saving AUD 3B

The company has offered an approach to take the Tiger platform beyond 2040 resulting in saving of AUD 3 billion ($2 billion).

This is in response to the Commonwealth of Australia’s (CoA) Request for Information (RFI) for the Project LAND4503 Armed Reconnaissance Capability

The RFI seeks solutions for the army’s future armed reconnaissance helicopter needs.

Cost per flight hour of the Australian Tiger has reduced by more than 30 per cent, and the sortie success rate is currently sitting at above 95 per cent, the company said.
