General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) supported the U.S. Army’s 7th Special Forces Group (SFG) (Airborne) in a Military Free Fall (MFF) High-Altitude Training exercise held last month.
During the exercise, a GA-ASI-owned MQ-9 Remotely Piloted Aircraft monitored the jumps and provided critical over watch capabilities. The MQ-9 was deployed from Yuma Proving Ground in Yuma, Ariz. and GA-ASI provided a live video stream from the MQ-9 to soldiers and airmen at Eglin Air Force Base, FL, which allowed remote monitoring of the exercise.
The MFF consisted of combination drops with Joint Precision Airdrop System (JPADS) bundles.
