Russia’s Rosoboronexport, a subsidiary of Rostec, said it signed two contracts, each worth nearly $400 million, with foreign customers for the supply of military equipment at the recently-concluded Army-2022 Forum.

"As part of military-technical cooperation, Rosoboronexport signed two contracts worth more than $390 million," Russian defense ministry confirmed in a statement.

Rosoboronexport, the only Russian special exporter of weapons and equipment, signed several contracts with foreign customers at the Army-2022 forum, the head of the company, Alexander Mikheev, said earlier.

"We held more than 70 negotiations, during which we discussed various issues of military-technical cooperation with representatives of 30 partner countries. We signed several export contracts, and also created a reserve for signing contract documents worth more than $14.5 billion," Mikheev was quoted by the press service of Rosoboronexport on Friday.

On August 15, at the Army-2022 forum, Mikheev said at a briefing that Rosoboronexport had delivered $5.4 billion worth of weapons abroad in 2022, and plans to deliver the same amount by the end of the year. "At the same time, Rosoboronexport is signing contracts: the portfolio of orders today is $52.9 billion," he said on Monday.

Russian defense ministry said it inked contracts for the supply of more than 3700 pieces of military equipment, including S-500 missile systems and Sarmat ICBMs, for the armed forces.

“As a result of the fulfillment of these contracts, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will receive more than 3,700 new models of equipment, repairs will be carried out with the modernization of more than a hundred units of weapons, military and special equipment," the ministry said in a statement.

"During the forum, the Russian Defense Ministry signed 36 state contracts with 24 enterprises of the military-industrial complex for a total amount of more than 525 billion rubles ($8.9 billion)," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
