Ukraine’s Ukroboronprom Develops New Strike Drone

Ukraine’s state-owned Ukroboronprom has developed new combat drone for its military.

Oleh Boldyrev, manager of Ukroboronprom, told LB.ua that one of the drones will be presented to the military by year-end. He noted that the first tests of the drone with 75 kg warhead and 1,000 km range have already been successfully carried out.

“It has already taken off, it has already landed… This is a heavy vehicle, with more than 200 kg of take-off weight. This is a development that meets the tasks that were set for us by Valerii Zaluzhnyi at the beginning of August. Then a list of tasks from the system was set, one of which was as follows,” he added.

The official noted that the company is working on more such drones. “This drone is not our only UAV. This is the vehicle we have already talked about,” he stated.

On October 17, Ukroboronprom announced the development of Ukrainian weapons with a target range of up to 1,000 km.
