Taiwan Soldier Dies Fighting for Ukraine

A soldier from Taiwan who volunteered to fight for Ukraine in its ongoing was against Russia succumbed to his wounds at the age of 25.

Tseng Sheng-kuang, who had been serving with a Ukrainian volunteer battalion, was wounded and died from blood loss when his unit came under fire during a battle with the Russian army in Luhansk Oblast on November 2, reports CNA.

He is the first Taiwanese soldier killed in the Russo-Ukraine war.

Tseng was one among approximately ten volunteers from Taiwan to join the ranks of Ukraine’s army. He went to Ukraine in June. He had transferred to the Sich Battalion from a different unit in early September of this year.
