The United States Army has awarded Lockheed Martin a deal worth $2.4 billion for Phased Array Tracking Radar Intercept on Target (PATRIOT) Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile production.
The contract covers PATRIOT PAC-3 missiles supply to the U.S. Army and an unspecified foreign military customer, a Pentagon announcement said.
Work will be performed in Grand Prairie, Texas, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2029.
This contract award comes soon after Ukraine began receiving first of its PATRIOT missile systems. On April 18, Germany confirmed it transferred a Patriot anti-aircraft missile system and a set of missiles to Ukraine.
