South Korean defense contractor Hanwha Aerospace has finalized a second executive contract with the Polish Armed Forces Agency, amounting to approximately 3.4758 trillion won (about $2.6 billion), for the supplementary export of K9 self-propelled howitzers.

This agreement builds upon a framework contract signed in July of the previous year, encompassing the export of 672 K9s and 288 Cheonmu multiple launch rockets.

The newly signed contract involves the provision of 152 K9 self-propelled guns, along with 155mm ammunition and integrated logistics support packages for maintenance and repairs. Additionally, the collaboration extends to local production cooperation for K9 maintenance parts. The ongoing partnership is geared towards fulfilling the remaining contract quantity of 460 guns for K9, with deliveries scheduled until 2027, subject to the finalization of a financial contract.
