Turkey’s FNSS is set to introduce its latest armored combat vehicle, the PARS ALPHA 8×8, at the 2024 World Defense Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, running from February 4th to 8th.
Developed to address both symmetrical and asymmetric threats on the battlefield, the PARS ALPHA 8×8 is positioned as a contribution to the evolving standards of new generation combat vehicles.
The PARS ALPHA incorporates features such as all-wheel drive, height-adjustable independent suspension, and an all-axle rotation system. These elements provide enhanced maneuverability, with the hydropneumatic suspension system adapting to various terrain conditions. The vehicle's top speed exceeds 115 km per hour, and it can operate over 800 km without refueling.
The PARS ALPHA prioritizes crew safety with protection against mines, IEDs, ballistic threats, and artillery shrapnel. The strategic positioning of the power pack at the front enhances mine and ballistic resistance. Integrated with FNSS's TEBER-II 30/40 Remote Controlled Tower, the vehicle features a 30mm dual-feed automatic cannon, with the option to replace it with a 40mm barrel for increased firepower. The turret also supports anti-tank missile systems with a range exceeding 4 km.
The design places the crew and personnel behind the power group, allowing the driver and commander to sit side by side. This layout enhances situational awareness, providing 180°+ real-time visibility for both passengers. The vehicle is equipped with 360° situational awareness systems for day and night operations.
In addition to its advanced features, the PARS ALPHA 8×8 is strategically transportable by road, rail, and various strategic transport aircraft, including the A400M, C-17 Globemaster, C-5 Galaxy, An-124, and Il-76.
