QinetiQ Conducts Live Ammunition Air Combat Training for Slovenian Armed Forces

QinetiQ recently completed a ten-day Air Combat Training module for the Slovenian Armed Forces, utilizing live ammunition against physical targets.

The training, held at the Andravida Air Force Base in Greece and involving the 117th Combat Wing of the Greek Air Force, featured the use of machine guns on moving targets. QinetiQ's PC-9B aircraft served as the platform for the flying target, a sleeve target attached to the PC-9M fighter aircraft from the Slovenian Armed Forces' 152nd Fixed Wing Squadron.

The sleeve target included a hit counter, offering immediate feedback to Slovenian pilots regarding the number of rounds and shot accuracy.

The Slovenian Ministry of Defense acknowledged the success of the training, emphasizing its role in testing the operational capability of air and ground crews in air combat scenarios. The ministry also underscored the importance of such exercises in fostering cooperation and exchange between Air Force units participating in combat missions.
