US Army has awarded $88 million contract for countermeasure flares

ARMTEC Defense Products Co., Coachella, Calif., was awarded on Sept. 25, 2009 a $45,631,614 firm-fixed-price contract for M206, MJU-7A/B and MJU-10/B countermeasure flares. Work is to be performed in Milan, Tenn., (50 percent), East Camden, Ark., (50 percent), with an estimated completion date of Nov. 30, 2011. -- Kilgore Flares Co., LLC., Toone, Tenn., was awarded on Sept. 25, 2009 a $42,272,288 firm-fixed-price contract for M206, MJU-7A/B and MJU-10/B countermeasure flares. Work is to be performed in Toone, Tenn., with an estimated completion date of Nov. 30, 2011.
