Former CEO of United Engine Corporation, Vadim Badekha will take over military and civil aircraft maker, UAC following the resignation of Yuri Slyusar who has been appointed acting governor of the Rostov region.

Alexander Grachev, the head of UEC-Klimov, will replace Vadim Badekha as CEO of United Engine Corporation (UEC).

Rostec CEO Sergei said "I am confident Vadim Badekha will use his expertise as UAC CEO to drive mass production of civil aircraft. I also thank Yuri Slyusar for his years of dedicated service,"

Under Badekha's leadership, UEC successfully increased the production of high-tech products, particularly gas turbine engines, and successfully launched the serial production of PD-14 engines.

The PD-14, designed for Russia’s MC-21 medium-range airliner, is a key component in Russia's strategy to reduce dependency on foreign-made aircraft engines and strengthen its position in the global aviation market.

Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Yuri Slyusar, head of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), as acting governor of the Rostov region following the resignation of Governor Vasily Golubev. Slyusar, born in Rostov-on-Don, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and viewed the role as a chance to return to his homeland.

Slyusar previously served as deputy minister at the Industry and Trade Ministry, overseeing aviation and radio-electronics, and held senior roles at Oboronprom and Rostvertol.
