Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of RTX, has signed a letter of intent with Wojskowe Zaklady Lotnicze Nr. 2 S.A. (WZL2) to explore expanded maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities for the Polish Air Force.

The agreement seeks to strengthen the sustainment of F100 engines, which power the Polish Air Force’s F-16 fleet.

Pratt & Whitney Rzeszów has a long history of collaboration with the Polish Air Force. Between 2005 and 2008, the facility produced F100 engines for the F-16 fleet. Today, it manufactures critical components for F100 engines, supporting both new engine production and global sustainment.

The F100 engine's compatibility with the F-15EX, a potential future acquisition for Poland, positions it as a key propulsion solution for both F-15EX and F-16 aircraft.
