Milanion Group and Republikorp announce a new collaboration to deliver unmanned surface vessels (USVs) for the Indonesian Navy, with an initial order of five 20-meter boats.

The partnership will integrate Milanion’s Advanced Autonomous Conversion Kit into the vessels, which will be designed, built, and supplied by a local Indonesian shipyard. The boats will be tailored to meet specific operational needs and integrated with the conversion kit for enhanced capabilities.

This agreement was formalized at IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi. Both companies aim to explore further opportunities in Indonesia for advanced defense solutions, including mobile and sophisticated technologies for local requirements.

Milanion USV conversions optimize existing fleets by converting manned vessels into unmanned ones, avoiding the costs of dedicated boats and parts. The system is platform-agnostic, supporting rapid deployment and mission customization. Powered by AI, Milanion enhances operational effectiveness with affordable, quick conversions, providing cost savings over new vessels. USVs can operate in various modes: autonomous, semi-autonomous, station keeping, manual, and collaborative swarm.

Equipped with sensors like INS/GNSS, optical and thermal cameras, radar, LiDAR, and AIS, Milanion ensures 360-degree situational awareness in all conditions. Mission profiles include ISTAR, port security, border protection, coastal inspection, mine countermeasures, search and rescue, fleet protection, and defensive/offensive capabilities.
