Ukrainian-U.S. Joint Venture to Manufacture Specialty Ammunition Chemicals

Ukrainian Defense Industry Joint Stock Company (UOP JSC) and U.S.-based D&M Holding signed a deal on July 11 in Rome to create a joint venture producing specialty chemicals for the defense sector.

The new enterprise will be located in the United States and will supply materials essential for ammunition production to the Defense Forces of Ukraine. The deal comes at a time when Ukraine’s ammunition industry is facing a shortage of critical chemical components, which has impacted domestic production capabilities.

By locating the plant in the United States, the venture also ensures a more secure production environment. The move reflects a broader effort to deepen Ukraine-U.S. defense cooperation and enhance resilience in the supply of military equipment during wartime.
