Damen Naval Signs Deal with Terma for Decoy Launching System on Colombian Navy Frigate

Damen Naval has signed a contract with Danish company Terma A/S for the supply of the C-Guard Decoy Launching System to be fitted on the PES frigate currently under construction for the Colombian Navy.

The PES frigate, based on Damen Naval’s SIGMA 10514 design, marks Colombia’s first locally built vessel of its class. Construction is being carried out in close cooperation with Colombian state shipbuilder COTECMAR.

Under the agreement, Terma will supply its C-Guard system, designed to improve the vessel’s survivability by deploying countermeasures against a range of missile and torpedo threats. The system integrates Anti-Aircraft Warfare (AAW) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) modules, providing layered protection for naval operations.

The PES frigate is expected to be delivered to the Colombian Navy in 2030.
