Indonesia’s state-run aircraft manufacturer PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI) has won a local contract worth 862.64 million for the delivery of 40 airplanes and helicopters to the Indonesian Military (TNI). “It is the biggest domestic contract that we have ever secured,” said PT DI assistant director for quality control Soni Saleh Ibrahim. Under the contract, DI will produce nine CN 295 aircraft and six EC 725 helicopters for the Air Force as well as 25 Bell 412 EP helicopters for the Army. Last year, PT DI delivered three Bell 412 EP helicopters to the Navy, four Bell 412 EPs to the Army and two Super Puma NAS 332 helicopters to the Air Force.
