The EADS Group will present a wide array of innovative products and technologies at the 50th Paris Air Show which starts June 17 at Le Bourget, it announced today.

EADS and its Divisions – Airbus, Astrium, Cassidian and Eurocopter – will showcase their products and new innovations that will help shape the future of the aerospace industry, according to a press release.

EADS Innovation Works, the Group’s corporate research and technology network, will present a number of initiatives in the field of electrical and hybrid propulsion during the show. Included is a fully electric general aviation training aircraft. These “E-aircraft” projects clearly demonstrate EADS’ commitment to develop technologies that further reduce aircraft carbon dioxide emissions.

In the flying display, an A400M military transporter and British Airways’ soon to be delivered first A380 will wow the crowds during the first few days of the show with Airbus’ own test A380 aircraft taking over later in the week. Both aircraft types will also be on the static display as will a C295 from Airbus Military and an ACJ319 business jet. A Tiger military helicopter from Eurocopter is also expected to take part in the flying display as will an NH90.
