China’s first aircraft carrier “Liaoning Ship” will undergo scientific research tests and training for the third time this year.

Previously, the “Liaoning Ship” organized maritime weaponry and equipment tests and berthed at a naval port in Qingdao in late-February this year.

From early June to early July, the carrier-borne J-15 fighters completed a multi-pilot and multi-sortie continuous take-off and landing training and carried out the first flight training and the first short ski-jump take-off on the “Liaoning Ship”.

China’s first batch of carrier-borne fighter pilots and landing commanders have obtained the qualification for carrier crew.

It is learnt that the “Liaoning Ship” will continue to organize test flights of carrier-borne aircraft and conduct tests on related systems of the aircraft carrier during this training.
