Russian Pantsir-S Air Defence System gets Artificial Intelligence Upgrade

If you thought the Russian Pantsir-S Air defence system was bad news for drones and low flying aircraft, wait till you hear this.

In a recent upgrade, the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and cannon system received a unique automated control system based on artificial intelligence (AI).

It is capable of detecting, classifying and firing at aerial targets without operator intervention.

An algorithm instantly determines the relative threat of incoming objects and arranges the order of their destruction, depending on the danger they pose.
