Research and development company Radar MMS is expecting an order for its Breeze, helicopter-type unmanned flying radar from Russian Navy, according to Ria Novosti.

"If the Navy wants, we are ready to supply it in one year," Sergey Ptitsyn, head of the company’s department of electronic equipment development, said at a press conference at the international water and ship-based aviation exhibition Gidroaviasalon 2014 in Gelendzhik.

Breeze is designed for monitoring large areas from the air, providing search and rescue, patrol and security and counter-terrorism support.

The maximum take-off weight of the device is about 80 pounds, the flight time is 90 minutes and its range of operating altitudes is up to 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) above sea level. The machine can be operated at ambient temperatures from minus 4 degrees Fahrenheit to 95 degrees F, with a wind speed of no more than 32 feet per second.
