Safran To Display M88 Rafale Fighter And Shakti Helicopter Turbine Engines At Aero India 2015

Safran announced today that it will display the M88 engine that powers the Rafale multirole fighter, and the Shakti helicopter turbine which was co-developed with HAL for the Dhruv twin-engine rotorcraft during Aero India Airshow.

The company will also display a wide range of products that include the AASM (air-to-ground modular missile) “Hammer”, BlueNaute, an ultimate “maintenance free” solution for maritime navigation, and explosives and narcotics detection technology handheld and desktop devices – Mobile Trace, Hardened Mobile Trace and Itemiser.

Safran has a 50/50 venture with HAL, exporting 100% of its production of aircraft / helicopter engine parts. 

Stephane Lauret, Chief Executive Officer, Safran India, said, “We have been present in the Indian market for over 60 years and have focused on product development in India. We are working with our local partners in India’s aerospace, defense and security industries.
