Russia has unveiled the new T-14 Armata Tank for the first time during the final rehearsals in the run up to the Victory Day parade in Moscow on Saturday.

Armata is armed with a remote controlled turret with 125mm smoothbore cannon and automatic loading system and is capable of hosting a tank, APC, artillery piece and missile launcher. Russia has so far spent 10 years and $254 billion in developing the new tank.

The Russian Defense Ministry has for the first time fully revealed the new Armata tank in a series of photographs published on its website in the run-up to the Victory Day parade in Moscow.

The Victory Day Parade will also see several other new armored vehicles. A total of 194 armored vehicles are expected to participate in the parade which marks the 70th anniversary of Soviet Union’s victory over Nazis.

The Boomerang armored personnel carrier, the Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled artillery piece, the Kurganets-25 IFV and APC, and the Kornet-D self-propelled anti-tank complex are other tanks that will be participating during the Victory-Day parade.
