Elbit Systems Wins $260M Contracts for Airborne Munitions Supply to Israel
Israel Ministry of Defense orders newly developed air-launched weapons under undisclosed programs
Elbit Systems Ltd. said on August 11 it has secured two contracts worth a combined $260 million to provide airborne munitions to the Israel Ministry of Defense.
The company did not reveal the specific systems involved but confirmed they are newly developed products intended for the Israel Defense Forces.
Elbit manufactures a range of precision-guided munitions, including the Delilah cruise missile, the Rampage long-range supersonic air-to-ground missile, the Lizard family of modular bomb guidance kits, the Range Extension and Smart Tail (REST) bomb guidance kit, and the GATR laser-guided 70 mm rocket. However, the company emphasized that the latest orders cover systems not previously disclosed in its portfolio.
