Raytheon Wins USAF Contract For ISR Mission Support

Raytheon has won a $393 million mission support contract for the US Air Force's Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS).

DCGS is the service's primary intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) analysis tool.

Under the new contract, Raytheon will continue to sustain, maintain and ensure operational availability of platforms and legacy systems that produce actionable intelligence for the Air Force, it announced Thursday.

These systems collect, process, analyse and disseminate data collected by sensors aboard the Air Force's ISR platforms U-2, RQ-4 Global Hawk, MQ-1 Predator, MQ-9 Reaper and MC-12.

The DCGS contract was awarded by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center and directly supports the 25th Air Force, part of the US Air Force's Air Combat Command.

"Raytheon's product-agnostic approach to sustainment and maintenance led to significant cost savings for the Air Force over the last decade," said Todd Probert, vice president at Raytheon IIS' Mission Support and Modernization.
