Sikorsky was awarded a $3.7 billion FMS contract for assembling Black Hawk helicopters to Saudi Arabia in a multi-year production effort.

The contract includes associated services for program system management, engineering, technical data and publications and is expected to complete by June 30, 2022, the US Department of Defense said in a statement Friday.

The contract is part of $6 billion deal to assemble 150 Black Hawks. A series of US-Saudi arms deals were announced on 20 May this year during US President Donald Trump first visit to Saudi Arabia.

Trump signed multiple contracts to a tune of $110 billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia effective immediately — plus another $350 billion over the next 10 years.

According to the State Department, the sales fall into five broad categories, including border security and counterterrorism; air force modernization; air and missile defense; maritime and coastal security; and cyber-security and communications upgrades.
