Rockwell Collins has won a contract from CAE to provide Visual Display Systems for French Air Force’s Pilatus PC-21 simulators.

Rockwell Collins will develop two Spectraview Visual Display Systems (VDS) in Salt Lake City, under a subcontract awarded by CAE. Also, the contract involves integrating the systems at the CAE facility in Montreal.

The systems’ final installation will be supported in France, the Rockwell collins announced Thursday.

Rockwell Collins will also be providing training for maintaining and operating the VDS, as well as spares.

“This collaborative international program taps into the strengths of each team member and will provide French Air Force pilots with a highly realistic and reliable training environment to prepare them for any mission,” said Lee Obst, managing director, Rockwell Collins in Canada.
