Metal Shark to Deliver 40 Patrol Boats to US Navy

Metal Shark Boats, a subsidary of Gravois Aluminum Boats is awarded an $18.4 million delivery order for the construction and delivery of 40 Patrol Boats. 

The delivery order will also provide basic boat equipment, shipping, long term preservation, boat familiarization, and crew original equipment manufacturer and waterjet training, the US department of defense said in a statement Friday.

Work is expected to be completed by April 2021.  Fiscal 2018 other procurement (Navy) funding in the amount of $18,455,327 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
