Russia Claims it Shot Down 607 Ukrainian Drones, 114 Aircraft, 2,596 Tanks So Far

Russia has claimed to have shot down 607 Ukrainian drones, 114 aircraft and 2,596 tanks since the start of its operation in Ukraine.

"Overall, the following targets have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation: 141 aircraft, 110 helicopters, 607 unmanned aerial vehicles, 273 surface-to-air missile systems, 2,596 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 296 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,134 field artillery guns and mortars and 2,413 special military motor vehicles," Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said on Wednesday.

Russian combat aircraft struck 59 Ukrainian military facilities overnight, including a Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system, Konashenkov said.

"Operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces struck 59 Ukrainian military sites overnight, including 50 areas of the amassment of manpower and military equipment, four arms and ammunition depots near the communities of Chervonoye, Dolgenkoye, Pashkovo and Vesyoloye and also a Buk-M anti-aircraft missile system near Slavyansk," the spokesman said.

The air strikes eliminated over 120 Ukrainian nationalists and 35 combat and motor vehicles, the general specified.

The Russian missile and artillery troops delivered strikes on 573 Ukrainian military targets overnight, Konashenkov said.

"The missile and artillery troops accomplished 573 fire tasks throughout the night, striking 432 areas of the amassment of enemy manpower and military hardware, 67 artillery positions, two batteries of multiple launch rocket systems and seven ammunition depots," the spokesman said.

The Russian army delivered a strike by Kalibr cruise missiles in Zaporozhye to wipe out a large arsenal of foreign-made weapons and ammunition supplied by the United States and European countries for Ukrainian troops, Konashenkov said.

Russia Destroys Ukrainian Depot with Foreign Weapons

"Kalibr long-range sea-launched precision missiles delivered a strike on the territory of the Zaporozhye aluminum plant to destroy hangars with a large batch of foreign weapons and ammunition supplied by the United States and European countries for Ukrainian troops," Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said on Wednesday.

Russian air defense systems shot down 18 Ukrainian drones and a Tochka-U tactical missile, Konashenkov said.

"Russian air defense capabilities shot down 18 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near the communities of Aleksandrovka, Balakleya, Bryanka, Zaporozhskoye, Izyum, Kapitolovka, Peremoga, Petrovka, Popasnoye, Proletarskoye, Trudolyubovka, including two Bayraktar TB2 drones near the settlements of Kolesnikovka and Krasny Liman," the spokesman said.

The Russian air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian Tochka-U tactical missile over Ilichanka, the general said.
