Rosoboronexport, a subsidiary of Rostec State Corporation has begun promoting fully imported Typhoon-K armored vehicles of the K-53949 model to foreign markets.

Rosoboronexport presented the Typhoon-K family produced exclusively from Russian-made components.

Typhoon-K, used for transporting personnel, is already in service with the Russian Armed Forces.

“The armored car is of great interest in the countries of the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, the Asia-Pacific region and in the states of the post-Soviet space,” said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport.

Typhoon-K vehicles can cross fords up to 1.5 meters deep without prior preparation, climb slopes with an angle of 30 degrees. Thanks to a new generation diesel engine with 350 hp. "Typhoon-K" model K-53949 speeds up to 100 km / h.

All models of the Typhoon-K family are equipped with an on-board information and control system, a centralized air pressure control system in combat tires, an all-round video review system, an automatic fire extinguishing installation, and an autonomous diesel power unit. In addition, remotely controlled combat modules with stabilized weapons can be installed on them. The composition of weapons varies depending on the needs of the customer.

For quick and convenient landing and disembarkation in vehicles with a 4x4 wheel formula, a folding ramp is provided in the aft part of the hull.

Vast experience in the creation and operation of military vehicles is complemented by new approaches to design and the most modern technologies for protecting against the most dangerous threats.

Armored vehicles "Typhoon-K" model K-53949 are distinguished by increased mine protection and ballistic protection, corresponding to level 3 according to NATO STANAG 4569 standard with the possibility of strengthening to level 4.

A high level of protection is provided by combined armor, including an armored hull and additional armor plates with ceramic elements, as well as a streamlined hull design and removable anti-mine pallets. The landing seats have a suspension system for attaching to the roof, equipped with mine explosion energy absorption elements, seat belts and head restraints to fix the head. In addition, the designers provide for the possibility of installing additional protection - internal anti-fragmentation screens, as well as special hanging mats to increase the level of protection against anti-tank grenade launchers.

On the chassis of the Typhoon-K family, vehicles of various purposes are created by installing weapons, technological, engineering and other special equipment.
