The DXPV is based on the  Oshkosh Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) platform, which is already in service with the United States and several allied nations.

According to Oshkosh, the Kaaiman offers exceptional off-road mobility, high-speed performance, and full interoperability with NATO forces key features for success in demanding.

The DXPV will play a vital role in the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps’ ground mobility fleet, replacing aging vehicles and improving readiness for national defense and international peacekeeping missions.

The Kaaiman is designed for modularity, allowing quick adaptation to different mission needs. It features advanced armor protection, scalable weapon mounts, and integrated communication systems compatible with NATO command and control.
