Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) has introduced its latest armored transport solution, the TGS-Mil Protected truck, during the inaugural RMMV Mobility Days 2025 in Vienna.
Based on the militarized TG truck generation, the TGS-Mil Protected is designed for flexible mission profiles and long-term cost efficiency. It is available in 6x6 and 8x8 configurations and complies with current NATO protection standards.
The showcased variant includes a protected cabin for two personnel and supports integration of tailored communication systems, electronic setups, and payload options. RMMV says the modular design enables forces to harmonize fleets with both protected and unprotected versions of the same vehicle line.
Powered by a MAN D2676 six-cylinder diesel engine generating up to 520 hp, the truck supports NATO F34 fuel and meets Euro II, V, and VIe emission standards. Its civilian-based drivetrain and all-wheel drive ensure strong off-road performance and simplify global maintenance.
RMMV is a joint venture of Rheinmetall AG (51%) and MAN Truck & Bus SE (49%).
The launch event welcomed 120 participants from 22 nations, with live vehicle demonstrations and tours of the upgraded Vienna-Liesing factory, where RMMV plans to produce up to 4,000 HX and TG trucks annually. Remote-controlled and autonomous driving capabilities were also showcased.
