Saab has unveiled Nimbrix, its first counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) missile, built to address the rising threat of small drones in combat.
The fire-and-forget missile is designed with a target seeker, a hard-kill air-burst warhead, and a compact form at low cost. It has a range of up to 5 kilometers, with an active seeker to track targets and the ability to destroy single drones or swarms.
The ground-based missile can operate alone or within wider air defense systems. Saab said its flexible mounting options allow use on vehicles or in fixed setups, and its cost efficiency enables deployment in larger numbers for wider coverage.
Customer discussions are ongoing, with first deliveries planned for 2026.
Nimbrix will be showcased at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) exhibition in London from September 9 to 12, 2025.
