German firm, Auterion has developed an AI engine for controlling a swarm of attack drones which it plans to introduced on the side of Ukraine in the war against Russia.
Called Nemyx, it is a cross-platform drone swarm strike engine that coordinates drones from different manufacturers. Nemyx enables multiple drones to act as a single, coordinated unit, executing AI-guided operations with speed, precision, and scale.
A demonstration video shows a swarm autonomously engaging two separate tank targets at the same time, with multiple drones coordinating each strike seamlessly. Powered by AuterionOS, Nemyx allows any compatible drone to join the swarm through a simple software upgrade, transforming individual platforms into a collective, intelligent system and multiplying lethality.
According to Auterion, the technology was developed taking into account the situation in the Ukrainian theater of military operations, and will be deployed jointly with local software and hardware partners for integration into the Ukrainian ecosystem (the information field of UAV squadrons).
The system is scalable from small units to large formations. The AuterionOS is compatible with the Skynode control system. A press release states that the company currently supplies more than 33 thousand Skynode units to the UAV squadrons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
