Hanwha Aerospace has signed a contract with the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) to supply the Chunmoo Multiple Rocket Launcher System (MRLS) to the Norwegian Armed Forces.

According to Hanwha Aerospace, the Chunmoo contract is valued at approximately $922 million, part of Norway’s broader $2 billion long-range fires program.

The agreement includes 16 Chunmoo launch vehicles, precision-guided missiles, and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).

Norway’s selection of Chunmoo builds on long-standing cooperation with Hanwha Aerospace, following the successful delivery of K9 VIDAR howitzers and K10 resupply vehicles ordered in 2017.

The system has been adapted for Arctic operations and is fully interoperable with Norway’s existing command and fire control systems.

With this deal, Chunmoo operators now include South Korea, Poland, Estonia, Norway, and Middle Eastern customers, strengthening interoperability and logistics cooperation
