Peruvian Air Force Receives Modernised Mil Mi-25 Hind D Attack Helicopters

The Peruvian Air Force has received four Mil Mi-25 Hind D attack helicopters from Russia in a contract worth $20 million. The contract also includes delivering seven Mi-25 helicopters. The Mil Mi-25 Hind D attack helicopters were upgraded in Russia and then delivered to the Peruvian Air Force to boost its combat capability in the fight against terrorism and drug trafficking. The Mi-25s is an export version of Russia’s Mi-24 Hind helicopters and it is effective in combat engagements in the Andes and will be deployed in November in the areas where the drug trafficking is hampered. Peru has a total of 16 Mi-25 and Mi-35P helicopters in service with the country’s air force.
