Russia’s defense ministry has received a new batch of Tablet-M-IR artillery fire control vehicles, delivered by Rostec-owned High-Precision Systems holding company.

The system, mounted on an armored chassis, transmits digital target data, including live drone video, directly to commanders’ workstations. This real-time link is designed to shorten strike preparation times and improve accuracy in artillery fire against enemy positions.

The Tablet-M-IR is adaptable across different artillery units and can coordinate fire using all types of ammunition. It was first showcased at the Army-2021 forum as an initiative project and has since entered mass production.

“The complex is a new step in the development of modern automation tools for artillery. Today, the Tablet-M-IR is already being mass-produced, is being used in the area of a special military operation, and has received positive reviews. Among its key advantages are high mobility, autonomous operation, and high combat effectiveness in conjunction with reconnaissance assets and artillery systems—from mortars to MLRS,” said Bekkhan Ozdoyev, Industrial Director of the Armaments Cluster at Rostec State Corporation.

The armored base of the vehicle provides mobility and protection for personnel, enabling artillery units to shift positions quickly while maintaining control over fire missions.
